102 war graves reside in Luton General Cemetery, 58 of those graves date from The First World War. Many of them are Lutonians who died in hospitals in town e.g. Bute Hospital, Wardown Park V.A.D. Hospital. Others died elsewhere but were able to come home one final time to be interned in their local cemetery.
