Acting Sergeant Christopher Angus Cunningham

Christopher Angus Cunningham was born in Luton in 1889, 1 of 4 children born to John Christopher & Clara.

In 1901 aged 12 years old he is living with his family at no 16 Gladstone Avenue.

His father John Christopher is 39 & a travelling drapery & clothing retailer, his mother Clara is 40 & at home looking after Christopher Angus & his siblings, 9 year old Margaret Eva, 8 year old Alice Jean, 6 year old John Crawford & Ronald who is 1.

In 1911 Christopher is living with his family at No 10 Westbourne Road, Luton.

Acting Sergeant Albert Ernest Godfrey

 

Acting-Sgt Albert Ernest Godfrey, 4219, 1/5th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment, died at the Eastern General Hospital, Cambridge, on June 6th, 1915. He was 38 and the cause of death was not stated.

He is included on the Luton Roll of Honour, but without an address. His parents may have lived in Lea Road. He is buried at the Luton Church Cemetery, Crawley Green Road.

CWGC data records him as the son of Albert and Annie Godrey, and the husband of Maud (nee King?), of Prospect House, Newmarket.

 

Acting Sergeant Leonard Euinton

Acting Sergeant 1st Bedfordshire Regiment.

Leonard Euinton was born on the 12 September 1888 at 2 Bolton Road, Luton and following school was employed as a Moulder by trade. He married Edith May Elston at St. Mathews Church, Hightown on the 29 October 1910 and resided at 57 Boyle Street, they had one child Ruby Olive who was born 1 February 1913.
