Frederick returned briefly to Caddington on demobilisation after the war, then moved to London where he married.
He had one son who was bought up by his father's sister Ada...Ada was married to Cecil Higgs.
Frederick's son was a Navigator in Halifax bombers during WWII. He took part in 38 successful bombing missions (a lot), and only died in July 2014 aged 90.

The National Roll (mostly submitted by families) describes his service as follows: Corporal Bunyan volunteered at the outbreak of war and was soon drafted to France. Whilst in this theatre of war he took part in many notable battles including those of Ypres and the Somme and was three times wounded. In 1919 he proceeded to India where he was still serving in 1920. He holds the 1914 Star, and the General Service and Victory Medals.

Samuel's Army Service Record can be found at the National Archives. It shows that he was a farm labourer before the war, son of Joseph Fensome of Upper Woodside. He enlisted in the Bedfordshire Regiment in February 1916 aged 36 years, 11 months and in March 1917 was sent to France with the Labour Corps.
