The National Roll (mostly submitted by families) describes his service as follows: Volunteering in November 1915 he was sent to the Western Front in the following March and subsequently went into action on the Somme. He also served at Arras, Ypres and Cambrai, and in the Retreat and Advance of 1918 and was wounded. Returning to England after the cessation of hostilities he was demobilised in March 1919 and holds the General Service and Victory Medals.

The National Roll (mostly submitted by families) describes his service as follows: He volunteered in August 1915 and having completed his training was drafted to France in March of the following year. While in this theatre of war he fought at the Somme, Arras, Ypres, Cambrai and in the Retreat and Advance of 1918 and often took charge in bombing raids. He came home and was demobilised in February 1919. He holds the General Service and Victory Medals.

Sapper Edward Hull

The National Roll (mostly submitted by families) describes his service as follows: After joining in June 1916 he completed his course of training and was engaged with his unit on the isle of Sheppey on important duties. Being medically unfit for overseas service he could not secure his transfer to a fighting front but rendered valuable service until his demobilisation in January 1919.
