Reorganisation of School

 

The existing School organisation passed into Four Battery System in accordance with A.C.I. 469 of 1916 and Appendix 47, viz.

Opening of Y.M.C.A. Hut

 

The Y.M.C.A. Hut at Biscot Camp was opened by H.S.H. Princess Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein.  A “Guard of Honour” was furnished by the School.

Apr 24

The Commandant inspected the School in “Drill Order Dismounted” on open space bounded by Marlborough Road, Biscot Road and Alexandra Avenue.

The School was formed up in Column (10 yards interval) facing West in the following order:-

 

  1.  Trumpters of School

 

  1.  3/1st London Bde. R.F.A.

               3/2nd London Bde. R.F.A.                “A” Battery

               R.F.A. Regulars

 

 

 

  1.  3/3rd London Bde. R.F.A.                 “B” Battery

               2/2nd London D.A.C

 

  1.  3/5th London Bde. R.F.A.

                3/6th London Bde. R.F.A.                  “C” Battery

                R.F.A. Regulars

 

  1.  3/7th London Bde. R.F.A.                   “D” Battery

 

  1.  The Provisional Depot composed of Army “B” Recruits was formed up in 3 Companies, Lieut. Col. GRAHAM commanded the Parade.

 

After the Commandant has inspected the School, three cheers were called for “His Majesty the King”.  The units of the School then marched past the Commandant to their respective private parade grounds and were dismissed.
