Leagrave and Limbury seek merger with Luton

From The Luton Reporter: Tuesday, April 8th, 1919]

The first conference has taken place between eight representatives of Luton Town Council and four representatives each of Leagrave and Limbury with respect to the request that the Town Council reconsider at once the question of extending the borough boundary so as to include the two parishes.

After hearing the statements of the Leagrave and Limbury representatives and generally discussing the subject, the Corporation representatives decided to defer further consideration of the matter in order that the Town Clerk, Borough Accountant and Borough Engineer may obtain certain particulars and statistics relating to the parishes.

The Mayor stated on Tuesday he thought the Leagrave and Limbury representatives went away from the meeting enlightened, and they hoped rather practical good would result.
